Inky Cat is an attempt to merge illustrative and fine art into a single body of work, by incorporating aspects from both disciplines. These images feature illustrative concepts that help convey the narrative, such as character body language and expression, as well as cinematographic staging. In addition, captions are included with each painting. These captions are intended to give context to the story and push the work into comic-esque territory. Although the images work to tell a greater story, these paintings are constructed so that each can stand alone as individual work of art. In addition, Inky Cat aims to explore numerous sociolpolitical topics throughout the narrative.
Inky Cat is drawn and written by Camber Arnhart. Script edited by Calvin Yorick.
